Just a quick easy post today!

  I found this tag at Target, but I've seen them at Michaels too.  I actually like the ones at Michaels better, because they don't have the chalk holder attached to it, which was pretty inconvenient when I was trying to legibly write "You had me at Merlot."  For that reason,  I recommend finding a basic heart shaped chalkboard tag!

If you don't want to use chalk, a gold, silver, or red paint pen (also available at Michaels) would work.  It might look better too.  The only problem is, you only get one chance to write your message ;).  If you have a steady hand, then go for it!  I would definitely screw it up and need to buy like FIVE tags.

Valentine's Day // For Your Hottie

Hey guys!  I found these awesome Sriracha shirts, and thought they'd be perfect for Valentine's Day!  Why you ask??  Well, they're red, so that's a good start... but they instantly made me think of my boyfriend because that boy loves himself some hot sauce, and Sriracha is at the top of his list (and thank God for that, because it's honestly been the only way he's been able to eat some of the dinners I've attempted to make lol).  It's safe to say that I will NEVER have a cooking blog....E V E R.

If I were to go this route for a V-day gift, I would make a gift basket.  I'd start by filling it with tissue paper or other red basket filler, and then add the shirt (roll it up, and secure with a ribbon).  Of course you would then add your card, candy, and maybe a framed photo of the two of you..

Or you could make it even more fun, and make a tag to tie on the basket to say

or
"I'm not jokin', you're Smokin'!"
or
"Love Everything About You... 
Love your Smile,
Love your Body,
I'm just sayin', you're a Hottie!"

Valentine's Day // Gift Idea for Him

I really love these little "tokens."  My Mom actually got me one with an angel on it many years ago, and she told me to carry it with me everywhere I go (and I did).  I have it in a very safe place now that I've moved (because I will probably be moving again soon), but it sat on my vanity for the last few years, so that I saw it every morning while I was getting ready.  If I was feeling uneasy about my day, I'd glance at it a few times, and it would honestly make me feel better.  I ended up getting my Dad one a few years ago, and he likes to remind me that he still carries it with him by taking a picture of it, and texting it to me :).
So, when I saw these from Personalization Mall, I knew they'd be perfect for Valentine's Day!  The heart is adorable, and you personalize it to say something special.  You could buy your man a new wallet (since they always seem to need them anyway), and slip this inside.  When he sees his new gift, he'll be pleased of course, but when he opens it up, and finds your unexpected message, he'll be super impressed. 

Also,  he'll most likely treat you to dinner, so when you get home, make sure you have some yummy desserts ready for him. I like to get a table cloth, and a few votives to surround my desserts with on special occasions.  Presentation goes a long way on a day like this!

Valentine's Day // Date Night In Anyone?

I don't know about you, but I much prefer to be at home with my honey on Valentine's Day.  Besides, did you check your calendars yet?  Feb 14th is on a Friday this year.  That's a double whammy as far as I'm concerned!  I am not a fan of crowded restaurants and wait times (reservations or not).  Plus, he can get really grumpy if he's super hungry.  And by "he" I mean me ;).

Here are some ideas for you and your Valentine to enjoy for a date night in.

Puzzles

Personalization Mall has tons of puzzle options.  I like the heart shaped one for Valentines Day, but the others are nice because they come in tins, and your photos are printed on the lid.  These could work for any couple, young or old.  Choose your favorite picture of the two of you, and upload them to your computer.  It could be recent, from way back when (a creative way to reminisce), or a wedding or engagement photo.  I bought this one last year :).  A little wine and background music completes this after dinner activity :).

If you put together a "Date Night In" gift basket, this would be a perfect addition!  Throw in some movies (buy, or rent them.. doesn't matter), bags of popcorn, mugs, hot chocolate mix, and movie theater candy.

Chocolate Fondue

We went to the Melting Pot once, because we loooove fondue!  However, we did not love the bill.  Since then, we have bought our own (this one) and have got lots of good use out of it.  I thought this one from Personalization Mall was cute for chocolatey desserts!
