Well folks, it's almost that time of year. The temps are changing, and we know what that means! Yup, it's
sicky time. I saw this idea on Pinterest last year, and I thought I'd
bring it back for this upcoming cold/flu season. Bring this to a sick
neighbor, friend, or leave it on a coworkers desk for when they can't
take a sick day.
You could add or subtract as much as you'd like here. This is a smaller version...

Here is a larger version, where I just added the box of tissues and the vicks.
If you just want to make the small gesture, find a large cappuccino
cup, and add the honey, lemon, and tea bags... maybe a few cough drops.
If you are going the soup route, find a single bowl (Target, Walmart,
Dollar Store, Home Goods etc) and add the soup, couch drops, and a card
((or maybe a magazine of interest?)). I like the bright yellow theme.
It reminds me of sunshine, which is nice for someone who's sick and
gloomy. And please, if you get the honey bear, give him a bow tie? :)
So cute. Here are some other items you could ad or switch out for the items above:
- New toothbrush (for when they are feeling better...so they can throw out those bad sick germs)
- Hand sanitizer
- Cold Medicine
- Hot chocolate
- Deep moisturizing cream (for under the nose)
- Heating pad (for muscle aches)
- New book, or amazon gift card to use for their Kindle
- A prepared meal that can be thrown in the oven (lasagna, stuffed shells, etc)
- Heated blanket (for when they get the chills)
- Redbox movie (if you can take it back yourself)
Depending on what you decide to include, you may need to get a gift basket. Michael's is the best place to find one of those (and don't forget to use a 40% off coupon... I use the app on my phone). While you're there, don't forget a color coordinating bow! It really does pull it all together.
Stay healthy my friends!
