Etsy // For Kids

I. LOVE. ETSY.
It's a great place to go when in search for unique gifts, and you'll see me supporting them often.  There's nothing like a handmade, original item to give as a gift.  However, it can be a tad overwhelming (and time consuming) to shop at Etsy when there are a bazillion shops to comb through.

I was browsing through the "kid" category last week, and wanted to share with you some items that really caught my eye.  The women who have created these items truly have a gift.  I not only picked them for their adorable and unique products, but I also picked them because of their great reviews from satisfied customers.

So, without further ado, here are the 4 shops I want to introduce you to this week.

Are you kidding me?  Where was Merinda when I was a young girl?!  I'm in love with her backpacks!  I never went anywhere without a doll, or stuffed animal, and I would've LOVED this thing!  These would make an adorable gift for any little girl and their favorite baby doll.  Whether shes playing around the house, going for a walk, or staying overnight at a friends house, these backpacks are the cutest way to carry their things (and the quilted fabric combinations just pile on the cuteness factor!)
  Check out merinda made here!

I specifically love theparty hats by Terri at Cards & Moore, but that's not all she's good at!  She has the sweetest birthday banners, cupcake toppers, favor tags, invitations, and other party decor as well.  I love her eye for pattern, texture, and color combinations.  Her stuff will take a child's birthday party to the next level!  Don't forget to have the camera charged!

We've all seen how cute crochet'd outfits can look on babies, but I think Connie's creations are extra special.  Please, go look at her store!  Even if you don't need a baby gift right now, you are going to love looking at her stuff.  You're definitely going to see things you haven't seen before.  She makes crazy adorable cowboy/cowgirl outfits, Marine corps hats, fireman, police, and other workers hats, and LOTS of other crochet'd cuteness for photo props.  This will make such a great unexpected baby shower gift!

Jane, at The Rowdy Ladybug, has some of the most unique hooded towels I've seen.  The amount of detail in the sock monkey, cow, and dinosaur is impressive!   They come in 2 different sizes, so these can be a gift for a baby up to age 3, or the larger size will fit most older children.  She also gives you the option of having it monogrammed to make it extra special.
Don't forget to check out her superhero costumes too!  She sells them individually (which makes an inexpensive awesome gift), OR she sells them in sets of 10 or 20, so you can have a superhero party!!....... and at only about $6 a piece, you can just send the kids home with their very own cape.  Party favors= DONE!  Love it.

So that's all for my Etsy Picks for kids this month!  If you don't have an Etsy account already, sign up for one now!  When you find shops you like, you can save them as your "favorites", and get updates on items from your favorite artists.  This will make it less overwhelming when you need to search for gift ideas in the future :).
