Take it from a Dental Hygienist (ME!)... using a Sonicare Toothbrush is one of the BEST things you can do for your oral health. They are especially good for our older loved ones because: 1. they have a wide handle (nice for people with arthritis), 2. it does most of the work for you (which is especially great for people with poor dexterity) and 3. the Sonicare technology creates tiny bubbles that forces plaque and debris out of large spaces (which occurs in many older individuals, due to bone loss). I bought this for my Grandma a few years ago, and she absolutely LOVES it! (even though she laughed at it at first!!). Now, I buy her replacement heads for Christmas every year, which she really appreciates. :) This is the model I got her. I've seen major changes in my patients when they switched from a manual toothbrush, to a Sonicare toothbrush. |
